Some graduate programs require clinical or practical placements to provide students real-world experience necessary to succeed in their field. 2U’s placement specialists build relationships with sites coast-to-coast to match students with the right faculty-approved supervisors and experiences. The placement team secures appropriate sites for students by vetting potential sites and supervisors, collecting documentation and facilitating agreements to grow our placement network.

Aimed at supporting diversity, particularly women in STEM, the Python for Data Science course at datascience@berkeley is a no-cost course designed for students who have a passion for data science but lack programming skills for the demanding curriculum.

Universities and their partners must look at economic needs when it decides what programs to launch. 2U chooses partners and programs based on our program selection algorithm, which combines various data sets like degree conferral and job growth data, online search trends, rankings, geographic information, and data from the current 2U-powered programs. This is helping to eliminate guesswork and allowing universities to provide the right training in the fields that need people the most.
