NYU Steinhardt's one-of-a-kind integration of education, communication, health, and the arts puts us at the heart of a movement: education for social change.
Leveraging 2U's leading technology platform, NYU Steinhardt offers four online graduate degree programs featuring live face-to-face class sessions, interactive coursework, and clinical training located near students' communities.
Students in the Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance program learn from leading faculty in the field and gain valuable academic and experiential training to become professional Pre-K–12 school counselors who work with children, parents and guardians, teachers, principals, and other educators to help children succeed. The program offers concentrations in School Counseling and Bilingual School Counseling. Graduates will be eligible for certification as a school counselor.
In the Master of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders program, students gain a strong theoretical understanding and hands-on clinical experience, learning directly from internationally recognized faculty who are experts in the field of speech-language pathology. Upon completion, students will be prepared for national certification and professional licensure as speech-language pathologists. Graduates will become active contributors to the diverse local and global communities in which they serve.
In the Doctor of Professional Studies in Occupational Therapy program, skilled occupational therapists advance their knowledge, deepen their understanding of theory, and sharpen their critical thinking to provide high-quality care. Students specialize and gain advanced competence in a chosen area such as pediatrics or upper quadrant rehabilitation.
The Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness program prepares students to pursue licensure and careers as a mental health counselor in settings such as addiction treatment centers, community agencies, and private practice. Through a rigorous curriculum taught by NYU Steinhardt's distinguished faculty, as well as hands-on training experiences near students' communities, graduates are prepared to help clients of all ages and backgrounds develop lives of health, wellness, and meaning.
